Each day 10,000 humans are born in the U.S. -- and each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born.  As long as these birth rates exist, there will never be enough homes.  As a result, millions of healthy, loving cats, dogs, kittens and puppies face early deaths as a form of animal control.  Others are left to fend for themselves against automobiles, the elements, animals and human cruelty.

Michigan  shelters euthanize more than 200,000 healthy dogs and cats each year - many of those (25 percent) are pure bred animals.  On average, each day in Michigan, 75 dogs will be adopted, while 120 dogs will be euthanized. The numbers are even worse for cats and kittens.

What can you do to stop the needless suffering?  Spay and neuter your pets!
